Trip overview
Abela Egypt, Egypt's first private company managing the Elite Sleeper Train, joins forces with Amisol Travel Egypt to introduce a unique way to experience the Total Solar Eclipse of 2 August 2027 in Luxor. Together they created the Abela Eclipse Express - an authentic rail journey connecting Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, with the eclipse celebration at the heart of the experience. With exceptionally high visitor numbers expected across Egypt during the eclipse period, airports and domestic flights are anticipated to be extremely busy. Travelling by train is the smart way to reach totality: sleep on board, wake somewhere extraordinary, and let the journey become part of the event. This second Eclipse Express departure adds a full free day in Aswan, with an optional Abu Simbel excursion, before eclipse morning. One journey. Three great Egyptian cities. One extraordinary moment of totality.

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, meet your Amisol Travel representative for welcome assistance. Private transfer to your hotel and check-in. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight: Cairo Novotel 6th of October or similar.
