To secure a reservation for any of our 2027 Total Solar Eclipse itineraries, the initial deposit must be paid at the time of booking.

Due to the immense global demand for the August 2027 eclipse, our premium allotments in Cairo and cabins on the Nile are blocked years in advance. Your reservation is only guaranteed once your first payment has been successfully processed and a formal booking confirmation is issued by Middle East Travel Alliance.

To make securing your spot more manageable, payments are split into three installments:

• First Payment (Deposit): 30% of the total package price is due immediately upon confirmation to secure your booking.
• Second Payment: 30% of the total package price must be paid in full no later than February 5, 2027.
• Final Payment: The remaining 40% balance must be paid in full no later than March 5, 2027.

Payment Method: Payments can be made either by bank transfer or via a secure payment link. Payments made through the secure payment link are subject to an additional 3% Stripe payment gateway fee. Bank transfers are not subject to this fee.

Failure to meet any of the payment deadlines may result in the automatic cancellation of your booking and the forfeiture of all previous payments.

Because an eclipse of this magnitude is a rare, high-demand global event, our local suppliers, hotels, and cruise operators require strict, non-refundable financial commitments from us at each stage of the planning process. Standard travel cancellation policies do not apply. By booking, you agree to the following event-specific terms:

• All payments are strictly non-refundable once they are made.
• Once the 30% confirmation deposit is paid, it is non-refundable.
• Once the second 30% payment is made (on or before February 5, 2027), the total 60% paid is non-refundable.
• Once the final 40% payment is made (on or before March 5, 2027), the full 100% of the package price is non-refundable.
• All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Standard Viewing: All packages include eclipse viewing from the Sun Deck of your designated Nile cruise vessel.

Eclipse Viewing Festival Upgrade: Guests wishing to secure an unobstructed view may opt into our exclusive Eclipse Viewing Festival for an additional $300 USD per person. This takes place on an open-air private farm outside Luxor and includes round-trip transfers from/to your Nile Cruise, a barbeque lunch buffet, an open hydration bar, comfortable seating, and safe-viewing guidance.

Expert Guidance: An expert onboard astronomer will sail with our groups, providing lectures throughout the cruise to prepare guests and offering on-site guidance during the Eclipse Viewing Festival.

Weather Disclaimer: While August in Egypt historically provides pristine, cloudless skies, Middle East Travel Alliance cannot control the weather. No refunds will be provided in the event of poor weather, cloud cover, or any natural phenomena that obstruct the viewing of the eclipse.

All guests are solely responsible for ensuring they have valid travel documents. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the date of entry into Egypt.

It is the guest's responsibility to obtain any required tourist visas prior to arrival or upon arrival, depending on their nationality.

Middle East Travel Alliance is not liable for any delays, missed flights, or cancelled tours resulting from a guest's failure to obtain proper travel documentation, and no refunds will be issued in such cases.

Guests must ensure they are medically and physically fit for travel. Nile cruises, traditional Dahabiyas, and temple excursions often involve climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces, and navigating gangways. The Eclipse Viewing Festival takes place on a natural farm setting.

If any guest has specific medical conditions, mobility issues, or dietary requirements, they must notify Middle East Travel Alliance in writing at the time of booking. We reserve the right to decline any booking if we feel the individual cannot safely participate in the itinerary.

Middle East Travel Alliance shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond our reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to: Acts of God, pandemics, epidemics, war, threat of war, civil commotion, riots, strikes, government restrictions or travel bans, terrorist activity, or natural disasters.

In the event of a Force Majeure, Middle East Travel Alliance reserves the right to alter, postpone, or cancel the expedition without liability for refunds.

Middle East Travel Alliance acts solely as the tour operator and makes arrangements with third-party suppliers (e.g., hotels, cruise vessels, transportation companies) to provide the services outlined in your package.

We shall not be held liable for any personal injury, property damage, loss, delay, or irregularity that may be caused by the negligence, wrongful acts, or omissions of these third-party suppliers.

During the expedition and the Eclipse Viewing Festival, photographs or video recordings may be taken by Middle East Travel Alliance staff or hired professionals.

By participating, guests grant Middle East Travel Alliance the right to use these images and footage for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation. Guests who prefer not to be photographed must notify our team in writing prior to departure.

By submitting the initial 30% confirmation payment, the lead passenger confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all individuals included in their booking party.
